CycleOpen Perkins (Liftmaster Chamberlain and Craftsman) Operating Instructions

Programming Instructions:

  1. Start with your door/gate closed. Locate the Learn/Teach/Program button (usually located on the back or side of the unit sometimes behind a lens cover). You will need a ladder.

  • 2. Check the CycleOpen’s working mode on the remote. Each button on our remote has two working modes,
for different garage door opener types. To check each specific button’s working mode, just press and hold
that button. Then observe the LED Status.

LED Color Mode # Garage door opener type
Green 1 315MHz Security+ (Purple Learning Button) / 390MHz Security+ (Red or

Orange Learning Button)

Red 2 Security+2.0 (Yellow Learning Button) / 390MHz Billion Code (Green Learning

Button)

Check the above table, does the CycleOpen’s button you wish to programs working mode match your opener’s learn button color (as seen in Step 1)?

If yes, proceed to Step 3.
If no, you will need to change the working mode first.
To change the buttons working mode:

A. Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the LED blinks yellow, then release both
buttons.

B. Press and hold the button you would like to change the working mode on, the LED will change to either
Green (Mode 1) or Red (Mode 2).
C. Release the button (which just changed to the new working mode), and then proceed to

Step 3
3. Locate the Learn/Teach/Program button (usually located on the back or side of the unit sometimes behind a
lens cover) and press it for about 2 seconds but less than 4 (pressing for 5 seconds can delete the openers
memory!).

4. Press the newly programmed button on the CycleOpen remote until the opener either blinks or operates.

Programming is now complete. To program a second button, repeat the steps starting with Step 1. Note: the above instructions are general steps for garage mount programming. Usually more specific instructions can be found on your motor until label sticker, located near your learn button or your instruction manual.

Installation Instructions:

Step 1.  Choose a safe location on the handlebars of your motorcycle or bike in which to mount the opener.

Step 2.  Place the clamp on the underside of the handlebars making sure the “TOP” is at the top of your handlebar. Place the CycleOpen remote on top and angle the remote at the desired angle around the handlebar.

Step 3. Secure the opener by using the provided torx security wrench to tighten the two mounting screws. Gently tighten them one at a time to secure the device in place. Start with one screw and then proceed to the other, alternating between them until both are snug. It is crucial to exercise caution during this step. While it is essential to ensure CycleOpen is firmly attached, overtightening the screws can potentially damage the mounting system, therefore, we recommend tightening the screws just enough to securely fasten CycleOpen without applying excessive force.

Safety Precautions:  Do not operate or adjust the opener while riding.  CycleOpen assumes no liability for safety of the rider.  CycleOpen is not responsible for any damages caused to your motorcycle or bike due to the installation or use of this opener.

Battery Replacement:

The CycleOpen remote uses a 3-volt battery type CR2032.

Battery replacement does not affect the existing programming.

Step 1.  Using the provided torx security wrench, remove the two mounting screws to release the clamp so the opener can be removed from the handlebar.

Step 2.  Unscrew the four retaining screws on the back of the remote.

Step 3.  Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one.

Step 4.  Reassemble.
